POETRY

I discovered poetry in 2019 and took up Life Writing in 2021. In the life writing class, the convenor reads out a poem and identifies a line or phrase to write from. We write for seven minutes and, after the bell, draw these blurts to a finish. In 2024, we began editing our blurts into crafted poems.

These written fragments have become an archive of life events, offering time-specific windows into experiences and feelings. They have become resources that I mine for my stories, essays and self-understanding.
